SHRI RAJEEV KUMAR SHARMA, IPS
Director General, BPR&D
Director General's Message
I compliment Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI) Jaipur, established in the year 2012 under BPR&D, on the occasion of the launch of its website. CDTI Jaipur is evolving as the Centre of Excellence for ‘New Age Crimes’. The institute has also been organizing courses on CBRN, Investigation of Infringement of IPR Cases, Investigation of Smuggling of Antiques and Other Art Objects, Investigation of Crypto-currency and Dark Web Cases and Investigation of Wildlife Crime Cases. In its endeavour towards capacity building in these domains, the Institute is using scientific aspects of crime investigation and other police-related subjects along with sensitizing trainees on various social issues that affect day-to-day policing. The much-needed website will enhance the accessibility and visibility of the various initiatives being undertaken by the Institute.
For capacity building on New Criminal Laws, CDTI is also conducting short-duration training programmes for Judicial Officers and Prosecutors on subjects like Cyber Crimes, Women’s Safety and Scientific Aids to Investigation, which are much appreciated by stakeholders. It has also done training need analysis (TNA) and curated special courses for senior officers based thereon, viz. Internet Governance, Data Analytics and Predictive Policing, Technology in National Security, Drone Technology and Digital Transformation in Policing.
I am sanguine that the Team CDTI Jaipur will continue to improve upon the course contents and make the training courses even more trainee-friendly. CDTI Jaipur should go a long way toward imparting quality training to police officers and other stakeholders. I wish the Director and his team members every success.
Jai Hind
